About Our Practice

New OD graduates & experienced OD's encouraged to apply!! Live and work at the Jersey Shore!  Single, private practice is seeking a full time optometrist to join our office!  Current OD looking to retire.  We are located minutes away from LBI (Long Beach Island) and less than 1 minute off the Garden State Parkway!  We are an hour away from Philadelphia and about 1.5 hours away from NYC!  We are a well established, 27 year old practice searching for an ambitious OD to continue to grow our business.   We also have a full service optical shop within the practice. 

FLEXIBLE schedule! Full support staff for pre-screening and Optos screening. NO administrative duties! No on call responsibilities! Great work/life balance! We will work with you to give you the schedule you want! 

Salary and specific benefits can be discussed with potential candidates.  There is also an investment opportunity if the prospective OD would like to become a partner in the practice.


Optometrist Job Duties & Responsibilities

We are searching for a talented OD to join our growing practice! You'll use your clinical and interpersonal skills to provide high-quality vision care to our patients. The ideal OD candidate is committed to delivering quality patient care, and is eager to learn and develop their clinical skillset. Your regular duties will include:

  • Perform comprehensive eye exams
  • Diagnose and assist in the treatment of ocular disease
  • Prescribe corrective lenses
  • Provide pre- and post-operative care to surgical patients
  • Promote healthy vision by counseling and educating patients
  • Maintain detailed patient records regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and progress
  • Handle eye care emergencies

Optometrist Job Requirements & Qualifications

  • Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree
  • Valid state license to practice optometry
  • Ability to communicate with a wide range of patient personalities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A strong sense of workplace professionalism and personal ethics
  • Customer-service orientation with excellent interpersonal skills
